Rego - New (AAR Approved) Angle Valve with Anti-Tamper Handwheel

Eliminating unauthorized Tank Car access & commodity theft

The FRA & AAR continue to forward safety when it comes to rail and tank car safety. However, what about security? If safety is concerned with product containment from rollovers or other incidents. Then security has to do with unauthorized access, such theft of commodity or actual service components.

While regulators focus on the former, ensuring everything is correctly designed, prepared, secured and documented at time of shipment. Once a tank car leaves a secure facility, it becomes easy prey for those seeking to profiteer.

Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication’

Introducing Rego’s anti-tamper device.

Using their industry-leading A7894P & A7814 two-piece angle valves as the starting point. Rego have added a securement ring and ingeniously redesigned the handwheel to accommodate an anti-tamper locking pin, providing a physical confirmation that the valve has been properly closed secured and tagged.  The simplicity of this design means: -

  • Current TA7894P & A7814 series valves in your fleet can easily be converted to incorporate the “Tamper Proof Feature” by using the TA7800-52L conversion kit during the normal rebuild/requalification process

  • New valves featuring the anti-tamper device will be stamped A7894PL & A7814L

  • Same Design, Form, Fit, Function & Performance now with Tamper Proof Technology

  • High flow, innovative sealing features and fully repairable

  • New Handwheel/ Pin is easy to operate (open & close)

Note: Whether converting a TA7894P or A7814 series valve to incorporate the “Tamper Proof Feature” or ordering a new valve - a 4-2 must be filed with the AAR.

Rego valves are manufactured in the USA and come with a 10 year warranty. Both the new valves and kits are available for purchase at TransQuip. For more information contact you TransQuip (www.transquip.com)
